Friday at George (not in the park), which is becoming a tradition now.
Zee just took off to the bus, leaving me with far too cheerful music in the speaker directly above.
I spent the afternoon yesterday pulling meat off goats yesterday! I volunteered at “Second Bite” which takes unwanted food from supermarkets and butchers, and turns it into meals for those who need it (7000 per day!). It was fun actually, and correct behaviour for fulfilment! (suspect motives, moi?). It’ll be every fortnight from now.
There was a girl there who said she’s burned out from teaching (all of 28 I’m guessing!) and is just trying stuff to see what life suggests. Sounds like a good path forward to get past what is obviously trauma.
Three day weekend ahead, and nothing booked. Interestingly I’m a bit daunted by it. Maybe I need to put some effort into doing nothing. Having gone flat out getting the cat sorted the previous week, and then flat out getting our finances together (alongside Zee), I’m settling too much into human doing not human being. Let’s try and work on that this weekend.
To be honest at least some part of all the activity is to somehow fulfil my subliminal obligations as the non-working housewife. I’m sure Zee would be horrified to know that, but I think it’s probably to be expected.
